Recurring Announcements:

2. Sophomores...the PLAN test will not be moved.
Counselors felt that since so few students take it anyway, they should go ahead
with it. It's a prep for ACT, not SAT.
3. Tuesday Oct. 28th ...Wind Ensemble will play for NHS ceremony. Put it on your
calendars.

Announcements
1. E-mails have gone to each of your parents if
you are failing a class. There are 52 of you. Mandatory study halls begin next
Monday and will run for two weeks. Here's how they work:
a. Morning band practice ends
b. Report immediately to ensemble room with your books to
study. Don't even think of doing anything but studying>
c. You are excused from the study hall when you bring a note
from your teacher letting us know you're passing that class
d. Obviously, you may go get tutorial help instead of come to
the study hall. Check in with us first.
2. Our game Friday is in Pflugerville
Percussionists and Guard...leave stuff to be loaded in
hallway after your morning practice.
Sousaphones...put horns in cases after your band period
Loading Crew...Truck here at 3:00. You just need to have
stuff packed by inspection time. Also, a few extra perc. pieces, so pack tightly
from front
All others, you take your cases on the bus with you.
a. Inspection time is 5:45
b. Load/leave at 6:00
c. Return at 10:45
d. Parents, all has been working pretty well with parking so
far. Please keep in mind that 10 buses, truck etc. will come in Friday.
So...please don't park on Grisham to pick up students
3. Bus Captains...you
have walkie-talkie training next to Bus #1 Friday night at 5:55. It should take
46 seconds
4. Students...remember to ask your teachers for tutorials in the afternoon.
5. Tommy, Griffin, Cameron, see Julie or Erin. You never fitted
for you hat. The uniform hat.
6. The organizational meeting of our 2008-09 Chapter of Texas Future Music
Educators will be Tuesday, Sept. 23, 7:00, at the Round Rock HS Orchestra Room.
Let me get a hand count...if you think you're going in to music, and think you
may be interested in attending.
7. Good luck tomorrow to Meagan at the UIL Twirling Solo/Ens contest in
New Braunfels, and also to those trying out for all region jazz band.
8. Josh Chopin...please meet Mrs. Huey in the uniform room at 5:30.
9. Need a list of those with 4th or 8th period off, so we can get to work on our
mentorship program for CD Fulkes.
