Recurring Announcements:
1.
There is a list of band students who are offering their services as tutors. Don't wait until you're really behind.....if you need help, there are plenty of people to help you . The list is here and there's a hard copy on the bulletin board in front of the band hall.
2. The boosters have a scholarship fund for private lessons....please see Mr. Stein if you're interested in this. It's completely confidential.
3. The All-Region Music CDs are in. They're recorded by the Texas Tech faculty. If you're interested in having your own copy, bring a CD to Zach David. He has graciously volunteered to burn CDs for you.
4. Wind Ensemble...we've been invited to again be part of the NHS induction ceremonies on Oct. 29th. Please put that on your calendars.

1. Let's talk about Friday night's preparation, stands conduct 1st half, and show.
2. After the WW game this Friday, we'll all turn in hats, change uniforms, and then gather on the floor to watch the video. Please let your parents know that 10:30 is a good time to pick you up. Parents are MORE than welcome to come in and watch the show. We won't be leaving the band hall until D Majors give us the "all clear and clean" signal.
3. The band looked like your room at home on Friday night. Unacceptable from both band students and from leadership. We're going to do better.
4. It's getting to be that really busy time when you need to use more of your left brain to keep things going. Let's talk about transitions, your response, travel, and the incredible number of things we'll be doing in the next 4 weeks. Including dealing with uniform parts.
5. And....we're going to talk about how you're rehearsing, and our expectations over the course of the next 4 weeks.
6. About 30% of you received a failing grade in at least one class on your IPR. Study hall will begin tomorrow morning at 8:30. You may bring a note from your teacher saying that you're passing to be excused from the study hall.
7. About the meals you've paid for on home games. More than 50 of you bought meals on "Everything Day", but only 26 of you showed up this week to eat the meal you already paid for. The only reason anyone cares that you didn't show up is because volunteer band parents had to pick up, prepare and then NOT serve you your meal. So where do we go with this? Either show up and eat the meals you paid for or this service will be discontinued next year.
8. Andrew , could you put the bari to bed upstairs?
9. Wind Ensemble....let's look at the lineup for Cap City and talk a few minutes.
10. Mark Calodanato, Greg Huey....go get your uniforms from where you left them, put them back where they belong.
11. Perc., clean up the hallways and your room.
12. Drum Majors, could you put the 2 podiums not being used in the storage room?
13. You get gloves this week. Uniform folks....what do we do with gloves so we don't have a glove storm in the band hall?
