Current Announcements:
1. All-Region Jazz people....pay your $10 to Mr. Mobley by today or you don't get registered.
2. Freshmen....let's talk about security cameras and wall buttons.
3. If parents are going to use frequent flyer miles to go to Hawaii independently, please confirm this with Mr. Stein by Monday, 8/28.
4. New trombone website is up and running. All other section website links will be discontinued unless I hear differently from leaders of those sections.
5. Trumpets....you have a very good trumpet instructor coming on board with us...Kristina Kincaid is a Masters Degree Candidate in trumpet performance at UT. Signup sheet for lessons is on Mr. Stein's door. We'll work with times later....she thinks she'll have plenty of time for all of you.
6. Michael Koploy made the snare line at UT, which is a very big deal....congratulations to him!
7. Seniors....SAT testing date is Oct. 14. That's the day of Westlake Marching Contest also, as usual. No conflict, sign up for SAT. You're done at 12:30, have a couple of hours before you have to be at the band hall.
8. David Martin, need that tape and player from you.
9. One more announcement about parking in numbered spots anywhere near our practice field. Don't. They're assigned. Don't park there. They're assigned. "But there's never anyone in them". Don't park there. They're assigned. Same for lot between tennis courts and band hall.
