4. Band Booster Scholarship Applications for Band Camp are
here. They're due Monday, Mar. 22.
5. Band Booster Senior Scholarship Applications are
here. Due at
the end of the day Monday, Mar. 29.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
1. You must pass this six-weeks to participate in the UIL
Concert/Sightreading contests in April.
2. Orchestra members....Friday's rehearsal schedule: (there will be a bus to
take students back who need a ride)
a. 7:30-Massanet
b. 8:00-Kabalevsky
c. 8:30-Mars
3. Parasailing people ..We're meeting this afternoon
at 4:15 for 5 minutes.
4.Wind Ensemble... Monday, Mar. 8th, we combine with CTMS Honors band
here. 4:15-6:00
5. March 8, Monday, is also the day 8th graders and parents meet here at
7:00 p.m. for a brief informational meeting. Need all leadership folks here
for that one.
6. Percussion..
a. When you're done in band hall, pick up all sticks and
mallets
b. When you're done in band hall, cover timp
c. When you're done in band hall, pick up all your music
7. Flutes...anything left on the floor around your area after school will be
taken to goodwill, textbooks to lost and found in main office. Store them
elsewhere.
8 We're doing a thorough trashing of our band hall every day. Not really
acceptable. Pick up after yourselves.
9. Make sure you have tuners by Monday. Zero tolerance from there forward.
Orchestra Rehearsal Schedule
Friday, March 5th 7:30 a.m. rehearsal on Stage (RRISD Performing
ArtsCenter) return to school @ 10 a.m. via bus for those without car.
Wednesday, March 10th 7:30 a.m. rehearsal
Thursday, March 11th TBA UIL Full Orchestra Contest @ RRISD Performing
