Recurring Announcements:

Sophomores...there is a PLAN test being given on Saturday, Oct. 25th (prep for ACT Test) Please don't sign up for this test....we may be scheduled to perform during the testing time at the Area contest. I'm working with Mrs. Kiely, RRHS Counselor, to schedule an alternate date.(UIL Calendar is supposed to be sacred) You'll be the first to know when more info becomes available.
3. Tuesday Oct. 28th ...Wind Ensemble will play for NHS ceremony. Put it on your calendars.

 Announcements

Good show Friday night....and another good thing...meeting and being ready for inspection on time. A good thing.

1. Don't forget that all selections must be passed off by end of today for you to get grade credit for it. F. Song, W-Up, Part 1, Part 2. 
2. Homecoming nominations are due next Friday, Sept. 12th. Courtney will be handling announcements etc. for that next week.
3. You'll need 2 more paint pens Monday. DON'T FORGET! 
4. Senior meeting during each band class today.
5. Also remember to bring coordinate sheets for Part 2 out Monday. We get back to work on that also. 1st 2 parts of the show in Killeen.
6. A video camera was left in the band hall. See Mr. Stein to claim.
7. Tomorrow afternoon sectional, brass/ww.

FRIDAY SEPT. 12 - GAME DAY SCHEDULE/PROCEDURES

1. End of each 'A' Day class - put sousaphones, percussion, and guard equipment stuff in hallway to load. (Please do NOT wait until after school. Loading crew will not have time to wait while you put your stuff in cases, etc.
2. Brass/WW players..you take your case with you on the buses, obvious exception of sousaphones.
3. No food/drink on the bus.
4. Let's talk about bus conduct and respect for your bus chaparones. 
5. Talking through exactly what we do when we get off the bus in Killeen:
    a. Loading Crew off 1st.
    b. Bus Captains off with loading crew. Find Drum majors, who will be scoping out our parade block location. Get info from them. Return to bus
    c. Students wait on bus until asked via walkie/talkie (bus captains) to unload. This includes guard/percussion
    d. Once unloading, perc./guard to truck. All others to parade block.
    e. Ladder/speaker crew do your stuff.  

3:45 - Students released from classes. Students are on their own for lunch.
5:15 - Inspection time, same place as last week. Have case in instrument, be dressed in dockers/show shirt, etc.
5:30 - Load buses, leave
7:00 - Arrive Killeen HS Stadium (hopefully we'll be in stadium in time to play Alma Mater)
10:30- Approximate time we leave stadium
12:16 - Arrive at RRHS
