TAPE/CD INFORMATION

Þ      Tryout tape/CDs are due Monday May 1 by the end of your band period. If you miss school that day, make sure you get the tape/CD to your band director somehow.

Þ      A metronome must be audible on your tape/CD

Þ      Make sure your name (and school, for 8th graders) is on the outside of the tape/CD.  This will be covered before the directors listen to tape/CDs.

Þ      Make absolutely sure the tape/CD is where you’d like for us to begin listening.

Þ      Plan ahead. If you don’t have a cassette recorder, start asking your band director now if you will be able to use one of the school recorders. METRONOME MUST BE AUDIBLE ON TAPE/CD. If you do not have a metronome, any of the music stores in the Round Rock area have them. Practice diligently…..and above all, please ask your band director if you have any questions.

Þ      IF YOU DO NOT TURN IN YOUR TAPE, YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR MEMBERSHIP IN THE BAND.

*       Results will be posted in all  Band Halls as soon as possible.

*       RRHS Directors will make appropriate schedule changes with RRHS counselors as needed after tape/CD grading.
