it is amazing how much we have changed, but have not at all. So to, the most ancient of arts can speak to us. Reflection on something that seems so old yet somehow can relate to our present condition gives a sense of something greater and a sense of purpose.
Reflection on the ancient art of the church has become for me a way to understand in some way the immensity (vertically and horizontally) of God, His kingdom and our part in what he has done, is doing, will do.
