Winter Concert
Friday, February 6th, RRISD Hartfield PAC, 6:30pm
Reminder to all students - let’s have excellent concert etiquette throughout the concert
No moving around from seat to seat or row to row
No talking during performances, no phones or other devices
Appropriate applause at the end of songs
Talking and devices are ok between bands, but not while a group is on stage
Four concert ensembles perform a variety of concert music!
6pm Concert Band arrive and warm up on stage
6:10pm All other bands arrive
6:10pm Symphonic Band move to Green Room, warm up at 6:15pm while CB performs
6:30pm Concert Band performs and moves to the audience after performing
Wind Symphony - after Concert Band finishes, move to the Green Room for warm up while SB performs
Wind Ensemble - after Symphonic Band finishes, move to the Green Room for warm up while WS performs

Band Booster Scholarships
Application for Senior Scholarships, Carol Davis Heart for Service Scholarship, and Jerry & Sue Brooks Service to the Band Scholarship.
The purpose of the Round Rock Band Booster, Inc. Senior Scholarships is to support students in the band/guard program who are focused on achieving goals through higher education. All Dragon band/guard seniors who do not have an outstanding financial obligation to the band or the school are eligible to apply.
The Senior Scholarships given will be 2-$2000, 4-$1000, and 2-$500. The Carol Davis Scholarship is $500. The Jerry & Sue Brooks Scholarship is $500. These scholarship funds will be paid directly to your college/technical school or DCI
Senior scholarship applications are due February 18, 2026. Please direct questions to Jennifer Baird scholarship@dragonbandboosters.com
Attendance
If your student is well enough to attend school, they should be coming to practice and events unless they get sick in the middle of the day and are sent home by the nurse
Look ahead at the rehearsal and event schedule and plan your appointments and tutorial help around it

Attendance at rehearsals and events is mandatory unless otherwise specified
Absences due to sickness are excused with notification from a parent if the student has a fever, is vomiting or cannot otherwise get out of bed
Absences due to prolonged sickness/injury are excused with a doctor's note
Who do I email? Mr. Mobley for Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony, Ms. Benford for Symphonic Band, Ms. Bouhadana for Concert Band, Mr. Hammack for all Percussion and Mr. Mendieta for Color Guard
Absences that are not excused-birthdays, completing homework, studying, test preparation, part time job, pop concerts, parties, vacations, weekend getaways
Grades and Eligibility
Students must remain academically eligible to participate in football games and marching contest performances and all TMEA activities
Should a student become ineligible they will still practice with the group during band class and in some cases, outside of the school day
There are two types of official grade reporting - IPR (Interim Progress Report) and Report Card
We are required to go by these official methods to determine eligibility
