Acknowledgements

We would like to thank, from the bottom of our hearts:

  • Our families for all the love and support (and the rides) they’ve provided as we’ve grown as musicians and leaders in the Dragon Band. For allowing us to pursue our hobbies and passions in music.

  • Our band directors for guiding us to be the musicians we’ve become. Mr. Mobley, Mr. Roeder, Miss Benford, and Miss Bouhadana allow us to have ownership in the Dragon Band, which gives us the bravery to form our own chamber ensembles and apply to perform at the prestigious Midwest Clinic.

  • Our private lessons teachers - Ms. Anna Carney, Mr. Kevin Gibbs and Mr. Robert Perkins - for keeping us true to playing our instruments, expecting our best and helping us set and achieve all our musical goals.

  • Our middle school band directors for giving us the start and making that start of playing our instruments fun.

  • To the Class of 2023 members of the Clarinet and Saxophone Choirs for your endless practice and support. We hope you’re doing well in pursuing your dreams.

  • Mrs. Martha Calhoun and the Round Rock Band Boosters for their endless support of all the students in the Dragon Band.

  • Mr. Groff and the faculty, staff and administration of Round Rock High School for setting high expectations for their students and supporting the Dragon Band at every turn.

  • Mr. Jager Loyde and the Round Rock ISD Fine Arts Department for your help with this journey.

  • Annette Landry and the Round Rock ISD Travel Department for making sure we could get to and from Chicago and have a lovely place to stay whilst there.

  • Mr. Henry Huey for all the wonderful photographs we’re able to use in our program and website. We are as much your fan as you are ours!

  • The composers of all the music we are not only playing today but that we have played throughout our journey in band and with our chamber ensemble.
