I said my last message would be it for email but here we are again! I wanted to remind everyone about Everything Day next week - you must attend! We've got a lot of things to cover and will need everyone present to do so.
AND...IMPORTANT - SIGN UP FOR YOUR REMIND GROUP: I will be sending communications through Remind instead of email from here out. There is information below about which Remind group to sign up for. It works best to have the Remind App but it's not necessary.

On the results you will see your name listed in an ensemble and also a column marked JV/V
If you are listed in periods 1/5, 2/6 or 3/7 and JV, you will be in 4/8 during the fall
If you are listed in periods 4/8 and V, you will be in 3/7 during the fall

Junior Varsity Marching Band Announcements
The JV marching show will be called "Rhythm Works" and will include music by Christina Huss and David Eastmond
First up is a piece called "Brace for Impact" and then will come a song called "Beyond the Blue Planet"
Both pieces of music feature brisk tempos and a variety of textures and timbres
Our drill writer for the Varsity group, Joe Huls, will be writing drill for this show
The JV band will be attending the Vista Ridge Marching Festival and the UIL Region Marching Contest in addition to performing at 4 football games during halftime
Junior Varsity students interested in becoming part of our CREW to assist with the Varsity show can sign up here to express their interest
Students chosen for CREW will attend select Varsity rehearsals, all performances and competitions including the BOA Grand Nationals trip to Indianapolis
There is an extra fee to cover competition day meals and charter bus costs

UIL Physical Requirement for Marching Band
All band and color guard students must have a yearly physical to participate
Please arrange to have your physical completed and form signed by a physician by July 19th

Hat-advisable to avoid sunburn

Athletic shoes-VERY IMPORTANT to avoid injury from long term stress-No Sandals, No Flip Flops, No Vans, No Boat Shoes, No shoes with poor support
