INSTRUMENT CHECK OUT
Students who currently have a high school instrument checked out will return them the last two days of school - students performing at graduation will turn them in upon returning from graduation
All students, including INCOMING 8TH GRADERS who use a school owned instrument will pick up their instrument on Friday, May 22nd between 9am-Noon
PLEASE NOTE: Our campus is the oldest in the district thus we have the oldest inventory. While our inventory has been updated and somewhat refreshed over the years, not every instrument is new, or even 10 years old, some are much older and we use our full inventory to check out to our band.
School Owned Instruments to be picked up:
Oboes
Bassoons
Bass Clarinets
Tenor Saxes *select students only who will be notified*
Bari Saxes *select students only who will be notified*
Legacy Trumpets
A matching set of instruments all Legacy trumpets will use
French Horns
and Mellophones (for marching)
Bass Trombones *select students only who will be notified*
Concert Euphoniums
and Marching Euphoniums
Concert Tubas
Sousaphones are not checked out to students until Summer Band
We will ask the students at auditions if they have their own instrument that is typically considered a "school owned" instrument. In other words, they have purchased an oboe, or bassoon, or horn, etc...the list above. They will not be checked out a school instrument if they already have one of their own.
The high school does not own Flutes, Clarinets, Alto Saxes, Trumpets or Trombones so we will not be checking these out
We do not have enough instruments for students to have one here at school and at home. That is sometimes possible at the middle school level but we do not have the inventory to support it.
UIL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT

Legacy
The music is from Christopher Rouse, Tool and Ennio Morricone, arranged by Vince Oliver and Colin McNutt. The visual design is by Lindsey Vento and Joe Huls.
The Round Rock Dragon Band Legacy proudly presents their Fall 2026 production titled, “Spiraling.”
To give, again and again and again. Bending and yet never breaking. Sustained by a force whose depth cannot be measured. Pushing. Around, through, against and beyond, always and ever climbing... Spiraling.
Horizon
Night has not yet fallen though the sky is slowly darkening. A chill in the air betrays the dusty orange hues of a fading sunset.
On the horizon an impossibly large moon rises. Through the trees it looms. This is what they call the Blood Moon.
Music is from Mozart, Verdi, Tchaikovsky and Melillo arranged by Vince Oliver and the visual design is by Joe Huls. The Round Rock Dragon Band Horizon is proud to present their Fall 2026 production, "Blood Moon Visions"
